Can Vaping Lead to Addiction?

On News, Uncategorized

PT413172There have been a series of discussions on vaping and whether it can really lead to addiction. Many people are of the opinion that e-cigarettes would help smokers quit, or will be less deadly, or even less addictive. Others, however think otherwise. They believe that vaping is just another way of getting people initiated into smoking, and having them try something stronger as they get deep into the process.

With these different schools of thought, it becomes necessary to ask some key questions; Is vaping really dangerous? Is it strong enough to get an individual addicted? Let’s find out together.

It`s Time to Recover and Start Your New Chapter

The National Institute on Drug Abuse notes that e-cigarettes are as addictive as cigarettes. Experts note that e-cigarettes contain nicotine which is the addictive substance in conventional cigarettes. They therefore confirm that vaping would lead to addiction just as good as smoking will. The experts note that very little research has been done on the effects vaping to the body, so it is premature to conclude (like some people do) that vaping is harmless to the body.

Experts therefore have some key messages for smokers. First, e-cigarettes contain nicotine and other toxic substances, so it has the potential to get consumers addicted. Secondly, people who vape can easily switch to something else. They can easily move to traditional cigarettes and even something stronger.

Start Feeling Better Now

As already mentioned, the fact that there is no evidence to show the dangers of vaping to the human body doesn’t necessarily mean these dangers do not exist. Health experts warn that vaping is still relatively new and while it may take a while to know a lot more about the phenomenon, it is better to stay clear. They recommend that we remain vigilant, waiting on the science world to gather more information about e-cigarettes.

If you ever doubted if vaping can lead to addiction, now you know. The liquid that vapers heat up to inhale is actually nicotine and other toxic substances. Nicotine is the addictive component of cigarettes so you can be sure that if it is added in e-cigarettes, vapers would potentially get addicted.
